ASDF and WavEC join forces

ASDF is pleased to announce that on November 18th it has signed a MOU with WavEC Offshore Renewables. WavEC Offshore Renewables is known as an international leader in the marine renewable energy sector by promoting the development of marine renewable energy as a suitable sector of new economic activity, supported by knowledge and innovation.
ASDF in its pursuit of linking people, ideas and action toward sustainable development in the American continent, has a strong commitment to help island and coastal communities in the region to address key energy, water, and food needs through holistic, innovative, integral and sustainable solutions.
Moreover, ASDF is leading the establishment of a platform to develop a Deep Sea Water Industry (DSWI) on the island of Aruba, Dutch Caribbean, and guides and facilitates the process of engaging with interested stakeholders and partners such as WavEC Offshore Renewables to dedicate efforts, expertise, and resources on identifying suitable, productive, and sustainable uses for the Deep Sea Water (DSW) resulting from a separately ongoing development of a Sea Water Air-Conditioning (SWAC) process in the island.
ASDF and partners foresee a great opportunity of developing such Deep Sea Water Industry to promote innovation, job creation, and sustainable economic growth on Aruba and deem it a very suitable, sustainable, and applicable approach across other countries in the region.
