Jasmin Sewenig is a energy specialist at ASDF with specific experience in energy efficiency projects. Under ASDF's Deep Sea Water Industry (DSWI) Initiative, she performed her master thesis through a partnership with Utrecht University to assess the potential for the development of a Deep Sea Water Industry (DSWI) in the island of Aruba, Dutch Caribbean.
The vision behind ASDF's DSWI initiative is to carefully assess the potential for the deployment of the Sea Water Air-Conditioning (SWAC) and Ocean Thermal Energy Conversion (OTEC) technology in Aruba and highlight the socio-economic and environmental benefits that can be accrued by the Aruban community.
Jasmin has a MSc. degree in Energy Sciences from the Copernicus Institute at Utrecht University in the Netherlands. She has accumulated more than 3 years of work experience working with the German International Cooperation (GIZ) in South Africa in the fields of refrigerated transport as well as energy efficiency in buildings. She is fluent in German and English.
Jasmin is passionate about making a difference to enable sustainable development to take place and improve the livelihood in communities in the Americas.
